A few years ago we participated in an architectural competition to create a public space in a small village in Southern Spain called Utrera.

We started from the physical, cultural, climatic and topological characteristics of the environment with the intention of creating a new sustainable space. We were inspired by a system with a long tradition and proven effectiveness: the cultivation terrace that manages to transform a steep terrain into the largest arable area. We created a system of waves or contour lines, inot which all the other elements were integrated. This included local vegetation, trees, easy maintenance pavements, lighting; all following the same organic and integrated path. Diverse, but unitary.

Today we still adhere to the same idea of working in sustainable terms, “reinventing" those simple traditional achievements that have been refined over years or centuries. We aim to apply these principles to every project we undertake.
